from its cooperation with engineering companies at home
and abroad in equipment procurement and supply. It has
now formed its own contracting system by means of continual
perfecting and strengthening each link of the system.
CNCE engineering contracting business is classified into
four categories.

 Independent
contracting |
| CNCE bids for projects independently,
by using the technologies developed by itself.
After wining a bid and singing the contract,
it is responsible for basic design, equipment
procurement, control of the overall engineering
progress, cost and quality, training of the
buyers·¯ personnel as well as financial arrangements
required for implementing the contracts. It
renders technical guidance at the stages of
test-run commissioning, trial production and
production, guarantees of good plant performance
and project acceptance and settlement upon
project completion. Detailed engineering design,
civil construction and installation are usually
subcontracted to other companies. |

 Joint
contracting |
| CNCE also bids for projects
together with designing institutes and companies
that hold patent or proprietary technologies.
After wining a bid and singing the contract,
they jointly fulfill the awarded contract.
CNCE takes responsibilities mainly for processing
and sorting project information, budget estimate
making for machinery and equipment as well
as raw materials, finishing the procurement
and financing for the projects. It also takes
part in the control of project progress, cost
and quality of the joint project manager department. |

 Subcontracting |
| CNCE has maintained long-term
cooperative relation with many engineering
contractors. As a subcontractor, CNCE sign
subcontracts for equipment procurement with
the main contractors. CNCE is responsible
for the procurement independently and fulfill
the subcontracts valid until the equipment
warranty terminates. |

 Equipment
procurement contracting |
| CNCE also keeps long-term
business relation with domestic chemical and
petrochemical producers. When project owners
invite tenders for equipment and procurement,
CNCE bid independently. For contracts awarded,
it is responsible for equipment procurement
independently and fulfills the contracts valid
until the equipment warranty terminates. |
